Township eyes senior housing needs
Part of a series reviewing the development proposal for the 414-acre former Northville Psychiatric Hospital property.

Richard O'Hare is getting to the age when a decision must be made.

Though he keeps busy as a reserve police captain for the Northville Township Police Department and part-time building attendant for the Northville Senior Community Center, the 63-year-old city of Northville resident said he and his wife, Jodie, would like to settle into an active senior community.

"I don't want to live in a nursing community, but a senior community where our grand kids can come and stay," O'Hare said. "We've talked about it and my wife wants to be able to stay in the area." Continue reading this story ...
